Candles are very significant in the view of thematic sentimentalism, romanticism, and mysticism as candles are used for the expression of all such emotions. Candles are used for the symbolism of various kinds of passions, cultural trends and celebrations. Candles are the source of decoration and beautification of the environmental scenery. Candles are presented as the emblem of love, religious fervor, romantic thoughts, mystic imagination and meditation.

Everyone inspires and admires the elegance and dim luminosity of flickering flame of candle giving out sweet fragrance in the atmosphere on burning. There are a number of elegant styles and models of candles in the market with charming aromas. The wide range of variety of candles styles, pattern and functions are present in the market in accordance with the specific tastes and trends of candle lovers who want to light up candles in order to satisfy their own spirits.

Candles are not only reflection of western culture but also eastern culture which is used to celebrate various kinds of social as well as religious festivals. Mostly the categories of candles are used according to different occasions e.g. birthday candles, novelty candles, advent candles, window candles, ear candles, flameless candles, and many other candles. I have read about the latest technology of manufacture maintaining the excellence and elegance of the candle manufacturing companies e.g. battery operated candles, candle warmer, electric powered candles, ear candles, container candles, Yankee candles and tapers.

Candles are also a source of serenity, tranquility and creativity of imaginative power that mostly poets are inspired by the elegant atmosphere of candle burning and spurred their poetic thoughts fluently. Candles are not only meditative but also imaginative means of creativity to stir the minds of the poets to step forward quickly in such delicate surrounding of candle lighting.

Coming home to prepare a hot meal is no longer a Herculean task for busy moms.  With the help from this “Flip n Cook Pan”, suddenly you’ll see it doesn’t need an hour to prepare a good meal.  This is what I told my sister being a working mom herself with 2 school-going children, also being her first year staying away from her stay-home mother in-law who took care of their meals, ready on the table.  I know it will be a burden until she could finally adjust herself and cope.

I’ve been using this flip n cook pan over the years yet she never even cared to glance at it (chisss!!!), until today, with a helpful intention I demonstrated it to her.  It cost me RM15 to get this sotong (cuttlefish) as part of the demo… eeiiih, ruginya!!!  But not really, it’s going to be our lunch today, “Kampong Yet Modern Style Smoked Cuttlefish”,… try lah, memang sedap.. 

 Clean, cut sotong and drain-out liquid for few minutes before adding pounded garlic, tamarind, salt and aji-no-moto.  Pour 3 tbsp or more cooking oil onto the pan and arrange cut sotong as illustrated.

Place flip n cook pan over burning gas cooker for about 1 minute before turning the pan over the other side.  I don’t usually do this; I turned the sotong instead.  Normally it took me about 3 – 4  minutes to cook the sotong. Magic! Isn’t it?

There it goes.. lunch is ready!

Maybe I’ll come back again with other dishes cook with my magic pan… till then.
