Lotus flower start to grow down in the mud of an area with still waters like a pond or the side of a calm stream. They start as little buds way down in the mud. Slowly over time they grow and start to rise to the surface. At this point they are just a small bud and not a beautiful flower. Then as they are near the top the bud turns upward to face the sunlight and once it peaks above the water it starts to open its inner beauty up to reveal an incredible flower. These exotic flowers will look very beautiful.

Most religions mainly Hinduism see the growth of this beautiful flower as a symbol for the journey that every person’s soul makes as they strive for enlightenment. As the soul journeys towards full enlightenment it starts to blossom much like the flower. Most riddles are a form of lateral-thinking puzzle. To get them, you have to move laterally in your mind, away from the expected line of thought.
